Tulip ‘Foxy Foxtrot’ is one of those tulips whose colour is difficult to capture in a single word — and that is precisely what makes it so special.

The richly filled, peony-like flowers open in a beautiful palette of soft apricot, peach, warm yellow and pink nuances. As the flowers open further and mature, the shades subtly change. As a result, almost every flower looks just a little different.

Foxy Foxtrot is a Double Early tulip and brings colour to the garden early in spring. It looks beautiful in borders and pots, but I naturally selected it because it is also so lovely to use as a cut flower.

In a bouquet, it combines beautifully with blush, cream, copper and other soft pastel shades.

How to plant Foxy Foxtrot

Plant the tulip bulbs in autumn, preferably between October and December, in well-drained soil.

Plant them approximately 10–15 cm deep, with the tip pointing upwards. For a beautifully full effect, plant several bulbs together in a group.

Because of its compact growth, Foxy Foxtrot is also very suitable for planting in a large pot or planter.
