Zinnia Elegans Pastel Mix

The zinnia is an easy-to-grow cut flower that blooms from July to October. They are the perfect flower for beginners and provide colour throughout the whole summer. 
This pastel mix contains various soft colours and grows to approximately 75cm tall 

How to sow zinnias?

Zinnias are easy-to-grow plants, as they germinate quickly, usually within 5 days. Ideal for the impatient among us! The ideal germination temperature is 21-24°C. You can sow zinnias sheltered (in a greenhouse, glasshouse or indoors) as early as 4 weeks before the last frost date (mid-May). After hardening off, you can only plant them out once the risk of frost has passed (after mid-May). Zinnias are frost-sensitive, so they cannot tolerate (night)frost. 

Zinnia growing conditions

Zinnias are originally from Mexico and therefore prefer a warm, sunny spot. A place in full sun (= at least 6 hours of direct sunlight) will yield the most beautiful flowers.
