Amaranthus cruentus "Hot Biscuits"

Amaranth in a warm brown, rusty shade. Gorgeous cut flower for your late summer bouquets or dried flowers.

If you use this amaranthus as a cut flower, you should top it for finer and more stems per plant. Untopped it is an impressive border plant.

Location: full sun (>6 hours/day)

Sowing: sow amaranth in spring between March-May. Do not cover the seed with soil because it needs light to germinate. At an ideal temperature of +/- 22°C Amaranthus will germinate between 10 and 20 days.
