Delphinium Consolida Frosted Skies (larkspur)

Annual larkspur in a very fresh shade of blue, reminiscent of a clear blue sky 

Very beautiful en masse in a vase, and it also dries well as a dried flower! 

In the border, I would place it more towards the middle to back, as it grows quite tall. 

This hardy annual can be sown in autumn or early spring (February)
It prefers a cold growing period, which produces larger, taller plants. It germinates best at low temperatures. At temperatures above 13°C, it does not germinate easily. It is therefore best sown in a cold, unheated greenhouse. Definitely not on a warm windowsill. Germination takes 2 to 3 weeks. If you do not have a greenhouse, you can also place the seeds in the refrigerator (2°C) for 7 days to encourage germination. 

These plants also need some support so that they do not fall over in wind or heavy rain. 
Harvest them when 1/3 of the flowers are open, and you can expect more than a week of vase life.

Position: Full sun in rich, well-drained soil (does not like overly wet conditions)
