Consolida Ajacis - Misty Lavender

Beautiful silvery lavender-colored annual larkspur (Consolida Ajacis).

Very beautiful in large quantities in a vase and also dries well as a dried flower! 

In the border, I would place them more towards the middle or back, as they grow quite tall. 

This hardy annual can be sown in autumn or early spring (February).
They prefer a cold growing period, which results in bigger, taller plants. Best germinates at cold temperatures. So it’s best to start them in a cold, unheated greenhouse. Definitely not on a warm windowsill. Germinates within 2 to 3 weeks.

Also give these plants some support, so they don’t fall over in wind or heavy rain. 
Harvest when 1/3 of the flowers are open, then you can expect about a week of vase life.
