Sweet peas are a must in any picking garden. This is the variety "Charlie's Angel". A beautiful soft blue colour with lovely curled petals.

Sow sweet peas in deep pots or a root trainer in the greenhouse. You can do this in the autumn for stronger plants and earlier flowers. Or from January. A little bottom heat helps with germination. You can use a heating mat for this.

Harvest every 3 days to maintain a steady stream of these sweet-smelling flowers. If you want an exuberant bloom, be sure to provide liquid plant food or a rich soil.
Sweet peas should be tied up because they can climb up to 2.40 m high.
