Papaver Rhoeas 'Amazing Grey'

This poppy looks like it's made of tissue paper, super beautiful and delicate!
Different shades of grey, something that hardly occurs in nature. Poppies are very popular with bees.

Some say that you should sow poppies directly, but if you sow in seed trays with cells (compartments) like this one that you can find at "Seed trays" then it works without any problem. That's how I do it too. I sow them in my greenhouse in the fall, because they are winter hardy. But you can also sow them from February.

You will receive more than enough seed because there is a small chance that a single redder poppy will occur. If so, remove that plant.
Harvest these poppies when the flower bud just bursts open with a hint of color. Then you have the longest vase life with this flower (3 to 4 days)
