Lathyrus Odoratus - Sweet pea - Spencer Arthur Hellyer
This sweet pea is named after the English gardener Arthur Hellyer, who wrote more than 100 gardening books. A very fragrant sweet pea with a subtle touch of lilac on white petals.
The spencer variety is known for blooming slightly later than the other sweet peas, as they require at least 12 hours of daylight. Their flowers are larger than other sweet peas.
Sweet peas are a must in every picking garden. Delicate light pink color.
Sow sheltered in the fall for stronger plants and earlier flowers.
Harvest every 3 days for a continuous flow to preserve these sweetly scented flowers.
Sweet peas should be tied up as they can climb up to 2m40 in height.
